Indonesia's forest industry is one of the main economic sectors that makes a significant contribution to the country's economy. In this context, private production forest companies such as PT Wana Bakti Persada Utama (WBPU) play an important role in the sustainable use and management of forest resources. However, complex challenges such as forest product administration require careful strategies, especially with the use of the Forest Product Administration Information System (SIPUHH), which is a series of electronic devices and procedures that function to prepare, collect, process, analyze, store, display, announce, send and disseminate information on the administration of timber forest products.
Therefore, at the end of March 2024, PT WBPU held SIPUHH training with the aim of improving the quality of the company's Human Resources, especially for the planning team and production team from PT WBPU. Forest product administration includes processes that involve collecting, recording and reporting data on forest products obtained from logging, processing and marketing activities. Relevant information includes the volume of wood felled, wood species, quality, and the origin and destination of the wood. Efficient and accurate management of this data is crucial for business sustainability and compliance with regulations set by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK).
With this SIPUHH training, PT WBPU can monitor and manage every stage of forest product administration more efficiently and accurately, thus enabling the company to monitor logging, transport and sale of forest product activities in real-time, thus enabling a quick response to changing conditions and market demand. In addition, with information recorded accurately in SIPUHH, PT WBPU can manage wood supplies more efficiently, optimizing product stocks to meet market demand without excess or shortage. Furthermore, the data collected in SIPUHH can be analyzed to identify trends, patterns and new business opportunities, helping companies make better and strategic decisions.
During the training, the participants consisting of the planning team and PT WBPU production team carried out various practices and discussions related to the use of SIPUHH. In this training, it is hoped that participants will become skilled in using SIPUHH so they can optimize operational processes, reduce wasted time and costs, and increase productivity. With a solid understanding of SIPUHH, participants will be better able to overcome technical challenges that may arise during implementation and use of the system in the field.
In the current era of digital technology, information plays a crucial role in managing business. Training in the use of systems such as SIPUHH is a very important investment for production forest companies in Indonesia. With in-depth understanding and skills gained through training, PT WBPU can utilize the full potential of SIPUHH to improve operational efficiency, comply with regulations, and achieve long-term business sustainability goals.
